CHAPTER 15
TYING IT ALL TOGETHER

“Having begun by the Spirit, are you now brought to maturity by the flesh?”

Having begun?  Begun what?  Living out of the Spirit and not the flesh; what is this thing of the flesh?  Conscience?; is there some link to this thing of the flesh and conscience?  Those without the written law, as the Jewish people were given, had the conscience that convicted them; convicting them to return to God, from their being cut off from God from their very birth, accusing them and then excusing it.  Law or conscience wasn't a thing to keep, but was always intended to be a tool used of God to lead mankind back to the true source of living this experience.  Law or conscience would prove to be a mirror reflecting the evil that we had been born into; a system created of mankind totally independent from God, expressed in this fashion, “man in the name of man, by the power of man to the glory of man.”  They have called it secular humanism; yet the scriptures revealed this long before men gave it a name.  God called it “the flesh.”
Conscious knowledge; looking at it from this idea of gathered knowledge, it can go into two directions, secular or religious.   Having begun; having begun this gathering of knowledge, either party, independent from God creates what is written, “the evil conscience.” (Heb. 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an EVIL CONSCIENCE, and our bodies washed with pure water.)
Let us draw near with a TRUE HEART; the human heart is the store house of our gathering of knowledge.  It is what we gather, be it human laws, cultures, creeds, ideas opinions, traditions handed down to us from our forefathers, secular or religious, which if violated, creates guilt, which causes us to run from authority or God, forever excusing what we have come to believe is either right or wrong (whether it is correct or not).  In some cultures, to eat certain things or entertain certain behaviors would cause guilt, whereas in another culture it would not.  That’s what I meant by “whether it is correct or not.”  Now in “all cultures” there are certain matters that “all” would agree.  For example, there isn't a culture where being a coward is applauded.  Another example might be, though appearing different, another example might be having one wife where others allow more than one wife; yet in both, you can’t just have any wife other than those you have legally married.  Guilt would be the result of you having more than one wife in one society, whereas in the other, just grabbing another’s wife to place into you harem would result in guilt being considered evil.  So not all creeds are right, but each produce what God desired, guilt to draw an individual back to Him alone, for the relief from all guilt.  It wouldn't be a matter of a law, but only a tool that would accomplish and end.  And “no” I am not saying that the end justifies the means.  That’s a completely different matter, one of justifying behavior.  We aren't here trying to justify behavior, rather we are revealing how behavior came about and where it should all lead – back to God rather than men and their formed ideas and opinion totally cut off from God.
You can see what I mean when you see God definitely telling His people to have one wife; different from those around them in that day and its culture.  Yet we see over and over again His people violating this, marrying more than one wife.  You don’t see God judging them in this violation and might ask why?  It goes back to what I have said; though God clearly did say what He had said, there being allowed only one wife, its INTENT wasn't focusing on a physical, fleshly matter, of having one wife but was intended to reveal the rebellious heart of mankind whether he had one wife or many.  But cultures violated their own law by either taking on more than one wife, or grabbing the wife of another man.  Yet see this also, there was a very thin line when it came down to adultery which was punished.  In both cultures you find this punishment.  The question is why?  In each case it became a matter of a direct violation of conscience and the possibility of getting a whole generation to sear that conscience to the place where a valuable tool used of God to gain back a people was in jeopardy.  When punishment was dealt out, it re-installed this conscience all the more; yet they found in dealing out this punishment, it “increased” this thing of adultery all the more. What happened?  Paul the Apostle reveals it in this manner, “the strength of sin is the law.”   What was discovered is what God had always intended, “by the law (or conscience) no man would be justified before God.”  This clearly revealed that the real problem was something deeper.  The word justified is our clue.  Justified from what?  Well, the answer would be “an injustice.”  What was the injustice?  An injustice of being condemned for something one never did.  Let me see if I can get you to see where I am going with this.  Jesus, when dealing with a woman caught in the act of adultery, clearly drives what I am sharing with you home.  The Jewish law said that anyone caught in adultery must be stoned to death.  Yet in the Roman culture it was a legal profession condoned by the Government.  If Jesus, who was asked to judge the situation, if Jesus had said to the Jewish leaders, “Stone her,” they would have done so, then called the Roman authorities to have him arrested for ordering her murdering.  Yet if he would have said let her go, they would have stirred the Jewish crowd present on the scene, getting them to judge him for violating the law of Moses.  Now here is where what I’ve said up to this point comes in.  Jesus, under his breath, consults the Father on the matter; and the Father tells him what to do and say (something He always did).  He says to them, “You without sin, cast the first stone.”  Well, from the least to the greatest they drop the stones and walked away.  What did they see that day?  You hear it in what Jesus said; “You without SIN”…He wasn't focusing on the sin of adultery but that which produced this particular sin, the SIN NATURE we are all born with from the fall of Adam.  He was not justifying adultery but was using this violation of law to drive home a point that “ALL” in that crowd that day saw for the first time in their lives.  “Oh man that judges another, you are condemning yourself, you do the same thing.” What?  They might have argued, “I haven’t committed the act of adultery!”  Really; are you sure?  It gets even pass “just looking at a woman” as Jesus had said one time to their religious leaders and their thinking that just because they hadn't performed the physical act of adultery they were exempted.  Something deeper was revealed that day.  Some have called it “true moral guilt.”  A guilt that reaches beyond getting caught in an act; that reaches to our all being cut off from God from birth.  When guilt is really understood, it places one under the wrath of God with no end in sight, no remedy.   An injustice is also seen, it being laid on all humanity via the fall of our original parents, Adam and Eve.   The only One who ever offered true justice, thus the ending of guilt, was the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, the Son of God coming for the real purpose of relieving humanity from the curse placed on them via the act of Adam’s fall.  If HE sets you free, you would be free indeed; from this cursed nature embedded in all of us, no longer under the wrath of God. (“there is no more condemnation to those in Christ”).   That is what that crowd saw that day, and is what “having begun” in our opening text was saying.  Having begun with the relief from the curse of Adam’s fall and injustice, now are you returning to old unsuccessful methods to correct mankind’s true condition?  Turning to the “flesh,” meaning the opinions and ideas of mankind to solve any problem via any culture, creed, law or conscience knowledge created independent from God that “never” will remedy the flesh and the guilt from that flesh.
Gal. 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by  the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law shall no FLESH be justified.”
Gal. 3:3 “Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now made perfect by the FLESH?
Phil. 3:3 “For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the FLESH.”
Rom. 3:20 “Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no FLESH be justified in His sight; for by the Law is the KNOWLEDGE OF SIN (nature).”
Now I want to use a text from the book of Colossians to bring this point home.  You can get various translations of this verse, yet each beats around the bush and just doesn’t get to the point that Paul was striving to reveal.  I want to give you a personal paraphrase of this verse in light of all that has been said in this article:
Col. 2:20-23 “In view of all that I have written in this article, you have seen how we come to realize that we have to die to any human effort of what is called the flesh, to solve our dilemma.  We have to die to all that the flesh has taught us; all the opinions, cultures, creeds, laws and conscious knowledge gathered independent from God, whether from God or human conscience, simply because we have misunderstood the real purpose of it all.  All the ideas that say, “touch not, taste not, handle not, which are only things that are temporal and distract us from seeing the real problem.  We have seen how things appear to differ in different cultures yet behind these teachings of men there is something God uses to draw mankind back to Himself.  Each of them appear to give wisdom on how we should live this life;  yet because they have been “self-imposed”, interpreted by men apart from God and what He had originally intended in their giving or allowance, will never be a remedy against the real problem.”
Taking our Hebrews text further; Heb. 10:22 “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an EVIL CONSCIENCE, and our bodies washed with pure water.
“Full assurance of faith; this is brought out in Paul’s comment to the Church of Galatia, reading from the Living Bible:
Gal. 2:17-19 “But what if we trust Christ to save us and then find that we are wrong, and that we cannot be saved without being circumcised and obeying all the Jewish laws?  Wouldn’t we need to say that FAITH in Christ has ruined us?  God forbid that anyone should dare to think such things about our Lord.  Rather, we are sinners if we start rebuilding the old systems I have been destroying, of trying to be saved by keeping Jewish laws; for it was through reading the Scriptures that I came to realize that I could NEVER find God’s favor by trying and failing to obey the laws.  I came to realize that acceptance with God comes by believing in Christ.”
Here is the verse found in Galatians 3:3 mentioned above, reading it from the Living Bible:
Gal. 3:3 “Then have you gone completely crazy? For if trying to obey the Jewish Laws NEVER gave you spiritual life in the first place, why do you think that trying to obey them now will make you stronger Christians?”
To see the men of the world trying  to be good by keeping laws and rules is understandable; yet to see so many in the Church thinking that their performance gets them in God’s favor, is the REAL SIN.  This is brought out in a text found in the book of Hebrews; yet get twisted to mean something other then what God had intended it to me.  Let me show what I mean.
Hebrews 10: “For if we sin willfully after that we have received the KNOWLEDGE of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins.”
Many give you the impress that if at any time you willfully commit a sin, you are no longer under God graces; that sin could be, to their ideas, smoking, drinking, swearing, and a host of sins according to each church you go to or society that you visit.  This text in Hebrews was NOT saying this at all.  Read it the way it should be read, which has been developed throughout this whole article:
“For if you go back to the old system of trying and failing, hoping to gain God’s favor; especially after you have claimed to have come to Jesus Christ for salvation, there would remain no other sacrifice you could make to gain God’s favor, other than the one you just trod under your feet, that of the sacrifice of the Son of God for you.”
Reading the whole book of Hebrews and seeing this text in its context expresses what I just said.  Paul was writing to religious people (Jewish in this case) who were thinking of turning back to an old system to gain God’s favor; which had been proven to have not gained His favor.  He says that he didn't want to believe this of them; he had seen them suffer much for a decision in the past to turn to Jesus Christ for salvation from the fallen nature of Adam.  Now they were allowing persecution to get them to recant there confession of faith.  We can get the same pressures today from various denominations and cults and the world around us, attempting to get us to either “run” with them, like the world; or in a religious setting get us to follow their opinions and ideas which the Bible clearly reveals is a lie, this thing of self-effort, self-righteousness to please God.  Now you hear this everyday and it makes you want to say as Paul said, “God forbid that anyone should think of our Lord in this manner.  You want to ask them the question he asked, “Let me ask you one question, if you can save yourself by using laws and rules, WHY DID JESUS HAVE TO DIE FOR YOU!!!!  His death and dying for you would be without meaning and thus would not profit you one bit!!!
As I type this I see that it has turned into an eight page article.  There is so much more that could be said to this matter; and I am sure I will write more to TYING ALL THINGS TOGETHER.  So let me end this for now with an example for you to ponder:
With what I am about to share, I am not condoning, justifying, nor am I judging.  I want you to understand something in light of what I just wrote.  So hear this; If you smoke, drink, swear, or do any of a list of “sins” one could come up with, the real issue isn't these things.  I presently willfully smoke cigarettes; there would be those in a religious setting who would condemn me to hell for doing this, or see me as a carnal Christian or even think I might not be “saved.”  As far as the world, I know how the world feels about it today, revealing it by their established laws against it.  I in the past would seek to defend or attack this issue in the usual ways that you see done.  I no longer join the secular or religious world in the attacks or justifications of such issues; it isn't the real issue!!
Paul said this, “Who are you to judge another man’s servant; He is able to cause him to stand or fall.  Let each be persuading in his own mind.”  I lay claim to being a servant of God my Father thus you will have to take it up with Him someday, if you think to judge me for what I feel He has allowed me to do.  If at any point I am wrong in my decisions, that is between God and myself; you clearly do not want to be caught judging me “before the time”.  We all know one day we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. (Romans chapter 14…read it).
I said this to clarify what I said about Hebrew 10 and willful sinning and its real meaning.  Now if I were to yield to religious pressure to gain acceptance, thus not smoke in my case, and start thinking as they might think, that now I am accepted by God because I no longer smoked….”THEN I WOULD BE SINNING”…clearly what that text was saying.  I would have turned from what I know to be the truth, back to an old lie that will really send many good people (non-smokers) to hell.  Now understand; one day I may just quit smoking, but it won’t be for acceptance, it will be between God and me.   Ponder this!!

CHAPTER 16

HE WHO HAD BEGUN A GOOD WORK

“Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the Day of Jesus Christ.”   Phil. 1:6
“Wherefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, working out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.  Phil. 2:12-13
Notice what is being said; our confidence isn’t in our working but in His working, what He, God, had accomplished through PROMISE, a promise of doing something we could not do for ourselves.  When we understand this, that because of what God accomplished through His Son, Jesus Christ, we were placed as full grown mature sons of God, it is then that the peace we all so desire comes; a peace that passes all our understanding as we, and others, observe about us, that which is only according to a limited view according to the flesh of what God “WILL” accomplish via a process which will be completed at the judgment seat of Christ (read Romans 14).  We know we have not arrived yet to this full mature understanding of just what God had done for us; the total preservation of our Spirit, soul and body (I Thess. 5:23 “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Faithful is He that called you, who also will do it.”).   Notice it says that HE WILL DO IT; our part in this working out is to allow Him to do what He had begun.  You can see in this the fear and trembling; something Paul the Apostle expressed in Galatians 2:17-19 expressed in the Living Bible, “But what if we trust Christ to save us and then find that we are wrong and that we cannot be saved without being circumcised and obeying all the Jewish laws? (Self efforts)  Wouldn't we need to say that faith in Christ had ruined us? GOD FORBID THAT ANYONE should dare to think such things about our Lord.  Rather, WE ARE SINNERS “if” we start rebuilding the old system I have been destroying, of trying to be saved by keeping Jewish laws (Self effort); for it was through reading the Scriptures that I came to realize that I could NEVER FIND GOD’S FAVOR by trying – and failing – to obey the laws.  I came to realize that acceptance with God comes by believing in Christ.”
We have so abuse this word “sinner” that its true meaning has been lost.  In what has been said above, it is reestablished in its true meaning of our acting independent of what only God and He along could have ever done to bring us into His favor; to reject this and seek another means of gaining His favor is SINNING!
Paul, at one point in his experience of reading and studying the Old Testament, thought that by keeping all the laws and rule in that book he would gain God’s favor.  Later on he discovers that the only real purpose of those Old Testament books were to reveal how “out of favor” he was.  You have many today that are attempting to keep what Paul clearly says he had TORN DOWN.  Read all of his letters you will see over and over again his struggle to get those he was called to minister to too see this FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST which in truth was finished before the foundation of the world; be it the secular world or the religious world; God saw the problem humanity would encounter, solved it Himself, and now has revealed this Mystery.  It is no longer a mystery to you the reader of this article; you have this truth before you, the question is, “What will you do with it?

CHAPTER 17

SALVATION’S PROMISE

Here is just one promise to remember when you find those teachers seeking to throw you under the “laws” again: (Read it very slowly, and then read it about three times)
"By him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses" (Acts 13:39).
We see and are reminded that it is “BY HIM,” and all those that believe this, that He and He alone did it all for us; something the very Law of Moses could not have ever done.  The Law of Moses was never given with the idea of justifying us; for there to be Justification, there had to be and “injustice” committed. The law only revealed the problem in Geneses via the fall of Adam.  You would think a person would ask at this point, “What was the injustice dealt out to us?”  Here is the injustice – that you were born under the wrath of God for what another did before you were ever born.  To hear that God had JUSTIFIED US, you would think that the world would have no problem admitting this truth.  Yet you will find that you can’t get them past the fact of the injustice dealt to them through Adam & Eve long enough to say in the next breath that God had solved this injustice before it was even given by the very fact of “Christ slain before the foundations of the world.”  If you knew, that whatever problem existed between God and yourself, that HE had already solved it, wouldn’t you want to hear not only the problem that existed but also the solution?  If there ever was something that the Devil didn’t want you to know, it is this!  He’d love keeping you hung up in guilt and forever “trying” to gain God’s favor without ever knowing why you were ever out of God’s favor in the first place; keeping you thinking that it is some particular behavior, when in truth it had nothing to do with anything you have ever done, but had to do with what another did to cut humanity off from God.
Now if you reject this, you do have a problem; the problem of finding a way to gain God’s favor.  But this will remain a problem for you simply because you do not understand that the real problem is beyond your correction.  For you to correct it, you would have to be BORN AGAIN.  How does one enter again into the womb of his mother a second time? A question asked once by a religious Jewish leader who definitely didn’t know of this problem which I speak of.  With this you can better understand what Jesus was saying in the follow text found in Matt. 7:22-23 -
“Many will say to me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have “we” not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works?”  And I will profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
Note this; all that they did in the so-called name of the Lord was motivated by this human effort to gain God’s favor not knowing the real problem.

CHAPTER 18

THE VESSELS OF GOD’S WRATH VERSES THE VESSELS OF HIS MERCY

This controversy of the vessels of wrath and the vessels of mercy isn’t the problem most make it, if it is understood that we “all” were born under the wrath of God because of the injustice served to us all by the fall of humanity through Adam & Eve.  I have had individuals who mistakenly thought they could never be saved because they were called to be a vessel of wrath.  Crazy thinking; no, not only could they be a vessel of wrath, but all of us, UNLESS, we see that this injustice served to us was corrected before the foundations of this world, Christ was slain before the foundations of this world, thus JUSTIFYING us, covering this sin nature in us, that “sin that so easily besets us,” placing us in a position as “if we were never born through the loins of this first fallen couple.”  What follows will explain this.

Reading Romans 3:22 we see what many aren't seeing.  “What if God, willing to show His wrath, and to make His power known, ENDURED with much long suffering THE VESSELS OF WRATH fitted to destruction; and that He might make known the riches of His glory on THE VESSELS OF MERCY, when He afore prepared unto glory, EVEN US, whom He hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?  As He said also in Osee, “I will call them my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.  And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, “You are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the Living God.   Esaias (Isaiah) also cried concerning Israel, “Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a REMNANT shall be saved.  For He will FINISH the work, and cut it short in righteousness; because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth.  And as Esaisa (Isaiah) said before, “Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed; we had been as Sodom, and been like unto Gomorrha.”

What was Paul seeing?  Let’s take this one step at a time.  “What if God, willing to show His wrath…”  I have given this message to all that I meet, that if you were born on this planet, you have a problem.  I then connect this to the original fall of Adam and Eve; revealing how our being born through the loins of this couple,  places us ALL in this fall, thus are cut off from God, going on to say that because of this, WE ARE UNDER THE WRATH OF GOD.   In this opening statement by Paul, we see that God is WILLING, or wants all to see our present dilemma; our being born under the wrath of God.  Going on we read, “…and to make His power known.”  The question would be, “Power of what?”  One might think that God like to show off, flex His muscles; this isn’t what this is saying.   He wants to reveal the power of what He had intended before the foundations of the world, His giving of MERCY – holding back what we would deserve, His wrath, simply because we would be unjustly born into this fall of humanity.   I go on to reveal how God corrected this injustice before it even occurred, through Christ slain before the foundations of the world, replacing this injustice with justification.   (Devil hated this!)  God’s being long suffering, in other words putting up with what is going on in this world, is to reveal this to as many as are willing to hear it.  Those that don’t want to hear this, and chose to remain under His wrath, will be used of God to get those who might want to receive His mercy, grace and unconditional love.  These so-called vessels of wrath, are just that, those that have set their life style as a block to those who might receive what God is trying to get this world to see, that we all were under His wrath.  I have no complaint with God and his use of this evil to win as many as possible.  “They refused to accept the free offer of God’s acceptance simply because they refuse to face the fact that they were born on this planet under the wrath of God.”  God’s will is that none perish, these vessels of His wrath seek to disrupt this, not receiving it themselves, don’t want others to get it; yet God is able to work all that these vessels of wrath say or do, God is able to work it to His good, using it to manifest His power to do this THROUGH ENDURANCE.  We, the vessel of mercy, endure for the same reason, this conflict that these vessels of wrath throw at us, in hope to save as many as possible.

God is using these vessels of wrath, unaware to them, to bring the vessels of mercy to the realization of His power, power that these vessels of His mercy use to put up with these vessels of God’s wrath;  vessels of wrath that like to stir you up, using their fleshly fallen nature to get your fallen nature activated, causing you to express wrath along with them.  No wonder Jesus said, “Father forgive them they don’t know what they are doing…those that day were some of these vessels of wrath.  They had rejected God love through His son, thus this situation brought out the truth, their wrathful nature.  I see this at this moment, My God!  Where have we been in our understanding of these matters?  How far off we have been in understanding this one fact of vessels of God’s wrath.   At any moment, because of our very nature, we could fall back into being this vessel of His wrath, when we should be His vessels of Mercy.  We forget, or maybe we never understood this fact, that we stand in His Mercy, His holding back what we definitely deserved.  No wonder we are warned to not judge, not at all.  Who do we think we are?  We should come to understand in a deeper fashion this thing of being a vessel of His mercy.  The deeper we see this the less we would judge.

God uses these vessels of wrath, think about it.  King of Babylon, not saved, thus born under the wrath of God, tended toward wrath, his base nature which he was totally unaware of, God used this wrath of this king to disciple His people.  Instruments of wrath put to God’s use and purpose to correct those considered vessel of His mercy.    You might think, “But God is punishing them, how can you say that these are vessels of His mercy, when you defined mercy as God holding back what they deserved?  Isn’t He giving them what they deserve by punishing them”   Glad you asked.  I had the very same question and will give you the answer I got.  This idea of MERCY applies to eternal salvation;  nothing we could have ever done to gain this, or be disciplined enough to earn it.  God’s use of these vessels of wrath to correct His people was then to bring them to an IMAGE He had originally intended before this fall mentioned.  They were blocking the process, and God uses this King to start the process once again in their experiences of this captivity.

God is using these vessels of wrath around you to bring you to His desire, you may not like this, and cry that God remove them out of your life, yet without them, you would never see His powers manifested.  Think; if you were, in your condition of being fallen, if you were dropped into a perfect setting, what would there be in this perfect setting to reveal to you what you needed correcting?  What tool would God use to reveal this to you, because in a perfect setting all the tools there, would also be perfect?  We, as the vessels of His mercy, are in the best setting with the best tools to do this revealing.  Vessels of destruction destroying a fallen nature in a vessel of His mercy, who know where they were born and from whom, thus desire to rid themselves of this fallen nature.  This same Romans chapter goes on to say that there are in a house hold vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor.  You, as a vessel of mercy, are being brought to being a vessel of His honor, using the vessel of dishonor.  Example.  You use  a brillo pad to clean up a pot, that ends up shining.  After you use the brillo pad, you throw it away; it served its purpose.  Of course this illustration breaks down because the brillo pad didn’t choose to be a brillo pad, it just was.   In our case, we ALL are given the free will to chose…do you want to be a brillo pad, or the shiny pot?   If you think it is your task to go around cleaning up people’s lives by judging them, you have just chosen to be a brillo pad?  Think about that?   God might just use what you are doing, then THROW YOU AWAY.
We are “ALL” vessels of His wrath, the only difference is that I have found out that I was, and those who don’t or refuse to see this, still are; yet once again “ALL” have the opportunity to be His vessels of MERCY.  We were all born with a free will to chose, you weren’t born to be under His wrath, He solved this before the foundations of this world.  What’s our excuse; what is our fear of facing this fact of being born though Adam under God’s wrath, yet through a NEW BIRTH can have it APPEAR that you were never born though Adam.  That’s what I mean two sentence ago (“you weren’t born to be under His wrath”)….thought this is a fact, our being born under His wrath, this has been CHANGED by a decision of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, before being born on this planet.  Our seeing this and accepting this CHANGES THINGS FOREVER – our not seeing this also changes things forever, where you go, and it won’t be to this Loving God of Unconditional love.

CHAPTER 19
BORN IN A PIG PEN

I have expressed in other writings, “If you were born on this planet, you have a problem.”  Let me come at this in a different way.  If you were born on this planet, you were born in a pig pen.  Jesus had known the condition of all humanity and did not put too much truth in what others said to him.  It’s said that He knew the hearts of men.  He also warned us to not cast our pearls to dogs or swine; yet you see Him share many of the pearls of God’s wisdom to those around Him, yet shrouded in parables intentionally done to hide from the wise and prudent, those who thought they understood the matter of God and the Kingdom.  Only to His disciples did He reveal their hidden meanings.  Today, this revealing is done at the selection of the Holy Spirit, revealing Spirit given truths, with Spirit given living words.  Let me at this point do just that.
We have all heard the expression, “You can’t put lip stick on a pig and expect him not to return to its pig pen.”  There is a lot of lip stick being used to day to do just this.  How so, you might ask?  I have addressed this matter of casting pearls to pigs and swine at greater length in other writings, so here I will briefly restate that writing.
The symbol of a dog, was that it was a unclean animals, that did not have a split hoof, nor did it chew the cud; whereas, a pig, does have a split hoof, yet also does not chew the cud as a clean animal, like a cow does.  When we say, “On thy word do I meditate, day and night,” the word meditate is translated chew the cud.  A cow, to produce milk, chews the grasses it eats, swallows it, then several times belches it up to chew the cud, passing it on to several stomachs until it becomes the liquid we drink called milk.  (Makes you think.)  With the written word of God, if we chew the cud, meditate on it over and over, we would not be classed as this parable symbol says, a pig or dog.  Now because an individual attends church and occasionally reads the Bible, does not mean that he or she meditates on this word.  You see this, when they can’t even express what little they have read, even after attending church 5 to 10 years.  A new babe in Christ, who is said to desire the sincere MILK OF THE WORD, cannot get even the milk of the word from these let alone the meat of the word.  We can expect a new babe in Christ to desire the basic milk of the word, until such time they grow teeth to digest the meat of the word.  Yet here you have a Christian, 5 to 10 years attending church who hasn’t taken the time to meditate on the word, chew the cud, to even assist a new babe in Christ.  Why is this?
Let me now return to the theme of this article, of our being born in a pig pen.  To NOT KNOW this will guarantee you will either be classed as a dog or a pig in eyes of the written word.  A dog, a symbol of an individual that has never picked up a Bible to even read it let alone meditate on it; whereas a pig would give the appearance of have a separated life (split hoof) by his or her going to church and occasionally quoting well known verses like John 3:16, or hanging pictures on the walls of their homes of Jesus or the praying hands etc.   Yet when asked to explain what they have quoted, or hung on their walls, would be very shallow in their ideas of it all.  This expresses something of this idea of a pig with lip stick.  The Bible calls it “lip service;” this gives this a whole different meaning.
I can endure a dog because in truth, they are true to nature, the sin nature of a fallen individual born through Adam, thus born on this planet and in this pig pen, and are closer to the truth than a pig with lip stick, trying to hold down this truth with some performance to hide this fact.
As I have said, I have dealt with this in greater length in other writings; writings I will be adding to my videos on Youtube.  So, a warning to dogs and swine (none of you I sent this e-mail to)….the pig pen is about to be exposed, and the true dogs.  Remember, Jesus did this when he heard the self-righteous Jews calling the Gentiles, “Gentile dogs.”  It was then He exposed them as the pigs they were for calling the Gentiles dogs.…”the thieves and the prostitutes will enter the Kingdom before you.”  They were the pigs of their day, wearing lip stick.  Today, a new trend is happening…they are kissing the pigs…catch my drift?

CHAPTERS 11 - 12 - 13 - 14

CHAPTER 11
THE NEXT BREATH

Gal. 6:11-18 (Wuest Expanded Greek Translation)
“…As many that desire to make a good outward appearance in the sphere of the flesh, these are trying to compel you to receive circumcision, there only MOTIVE being that they might not be persuaded  by reason of the cross of Christ; for not even those who are circumcised are themselves keeping the law, but they desire that you be circumcised that in your flesh they might glory; for as for you far be it for me to glory accept in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ to whom to me the world stands crucified and I to the world.  For neither circumcision is anything nor uncircumcision but a NEW CREATION.  As many as by this rule are ordering their conduct, peace be upon them and mercy even upon the Israel of God.  Henceforth let no man furnish me trouble for I bare branded the marks of the Lord Jesus in my body.  The grace of the Lord Jesus be with your spirit brethren.  Amen”

Focusing on, “for neither circumcision is anything nor uncircumcision” what Paul is saying can be applied to our modern ideas of giving up smoking and drinking to gain right standing with God.  So we could read it this way without taking away what the text is trying to teach, “For neither smoking nor not smoking is anything; in other words it is not the issue.  What is the issue?  The text plainly gives it, “A NEW CREATION.”  It is a new perspective beyond what this whole world believes is the problem and its solution.
I have been developing this in light of “the power of endless life” which comes out of Paul’s letter to the Colossians in chapter 2, (Kenneth Wuest, a Greek Scholar, uses the Greek tenses which bring this out);  “In VIEW OF THE FACT,…”  we have to be in view of this fact to understand where Paul is going with this…”that we were raised with Christ”…it is a new perspective.  We are bogged down in the cares and affairs of this life, something brought out in the book of Hebrews ( 9:14)  where we are to be no more sin conscious; this sin consciousness which is brought about from not only the Bible but also all the laws and rules of our society that surround us; matters that make us “in” or accepted of our peers.
Think about this; I once smoked because of peer pressure.  To be accepted of my peers back then I had to smoke; so I wouldn't appear to be a wimp and would stand on the street corner with them thus was one of the guys.  But when I got into the religious world I got the idea that to be accepted there I had to stop smoking.  So to be accepted I quit smoking.  I thought, “Where can you go where you are accepted for who you are?”  Do we have to become circumcised or uncircumcised to be accepted?  Is this the real issue?  I have found that the real issue is to become who we really are, by finding out who we were before the foundations of the world.  Becoming as Paul said, “becoming apprehended for that which we have become apprehended.” (Phil. 3:12)
Now the Holy Spirit will do that; He will apprehend you and bring you into knowledge of who you were and work out those good works that were formed in you before the foundations of the world. (Eph. 2:10)  Before this world system came into play; before this work ethic of performance came into play, which was used to please and appease peer pressures.  You learn that we have been performance oriented from birth.  When you get into religion you kind of expect something different but discover they are performance oriented as well.  In you past you had conflict with those of church, now that you have switched peers, you find that now you have conflict with your old peers.  Now understand, this kind of conflict, in light of what we have said, isn’t conflict because of the REAL ISSUE.  All you have done is change hats, so to speak.  It isn’t the kind of hat you wear that gets you into the kingdom of God.  It is not whether you don’t smoke or smoke.  If you make it this you are avoiding the real issue; that which is far deeper and worst.  In Paul’s text to the Galatians he reveals what really happens, what those who advocated these kind of things to gain God’s favor are doing.  They are avoiding the cross of Jesus Christ and the horror of that cross which speaks to a far worse problem in us all.  Paul has to ask the Galatians, something we should ask ourselves, “if we could save ourselves by a set of rules, I ask you, why then did Jesus have to die?”  If we could save ourselves by not smoking, drinking and a list of other do-not’s, then His death was senseless.  Paul goes on to warn them saying if they sought this old method of trying to save themselves, what Jesus Christ accomplished would avail them NOTHING!
Paul in his early life, known then as Saul a notorious self-righteous Jewish Pharisee, sought to put this movement down until he got knocked off this high horse, literally, coming to embrace that he once attacked.  He then goes to Damascus preaching a different message attacking the Pharisees who he once was.  They wanted to kill him; so he has to escape by being lowered out a window over the wall fleeing to the wilderness for almost 14 years.  When he returns he then sees what I am sharing here.  All of his letters express what it was that he learned in that time period.  He had come to see the real issue; and issue that included Jew and Gentile alike, the fallen nature of Adam.  He discovers the real “sin” of the whole world; that which cut “all” of humanity off from God placing us all under the wrath of God.  You can see why he saw these other issues as petty and not the real issue.  Even the divisions of humanity of Jew, Greek, bond or free, Barbarian or Scythian for him were not the issue, but our coming to a realization of a whole New Creature through all of us being born again through Christ Jesus.  His whole life perspective changed.  So when he says, “In view of this fact,” he is embrace all that he had come to see during that time of isolation.
Scriptures to read in light of this whole article:
Eph. 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath BEFORE HAND ordained that we should walk in them.
Col. 2:11 “And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power; in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands (human efforts), in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; buried with Him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with Him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised Him from the dead

CHAPTER 12
SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

“But God is thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that FORM OF DOCTRINE which was delivered you.  Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness.”

Interesting and familiar text we may all have heard at one time or another.  It rings for some as just another religious text with no deep meaning to it.  Let me indulge a bit hear and give my paraphrase of what this text says to me.

“If anyone is to me thanked it is the One I have learned to hear from beyond reading a book or hearing it on a tape, CD, DVD or sitting listening to someone speak.  There is a NEW FORM of teaching I now follow.  I once thought otherwise.  Thinking I was obeying what I heard, when in truth I hadn’t heard at all till I heard from HIM.  I was only acting independent from hearing from Him and following my head not my heart or inward voice.  What now is delivered to me I meditate on day and night and write it down to someday pass on to those I love.  This is the true FORM delivered to me….to hear His voice and obey.  I am free from having to act independent from hearing from Him.  I can ask and wait with expectation that He is there and will answer.  I am now a servant of hearing from Him as any who have the same ability; thus the term, SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Many forfeit this ability by going about establishing their own idea of this  righteousness….they have forfeited the Righteousness of Christ.  He too heard from the Father.  The words He spoke were not his own but His Fathers.  The words I speak are not my own but Christ in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God.
Some may say, “How dare you make such a claim!”  My answer, “How dare I think otherwise.”
“If any man speak, let him speak AS THE ORACLES OF GOD; if any man minister, let him do it AS OF the ability which God gives, that God in all things may be glorified THROUGH Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion forever and ever….Amen”

CHAPTER 13
CHANGING OF THE LAW
“Whatever you do in word or deed, do it “As unto God,” not men.”  In this text we see God’s purpose for even giving law.  To throw God out of the picture, thus destroying His purpose for the Law; that purpose being to expose our condition being cut off from Him; whether we believe this or not; throwing God out of the picture drives men to lawlessness.   With God out of the picture, mankind sees no reason for keeping the present law, thus think to change or amend the law to their purpose, whether good or evil, which many times is to the evil.

When we discover that we can’t handle this life with any Law God had given or even those we have created, we seek to change the laws so that it will “appear” that we are handling what the law once said we couldn’t.  When it’s said, “Don’t steal, they have changed laws around this idea of stealing so what was once out and out steal “appears” as not stealing.” (Ask the Feds and the world bankers).  When God wrote, that one day, right will become wrong and wrong would be come right, this is what was meant.   There always will be some kind of law yet not to God’s end intent which is clearly said, “Christ is the end intent of the Law;” God’s purpose of the law wasn’t that we could keep it, He made it so it would be impossible.  Jesus clearly revealed this when He said, “YOU HAVE SAID – in other words you have changed the laws purpose leading you to think you could keep that which was created as impossible – You have said, but I say unto you – the real strength of the law- I say unto you that if you look upon a women with lust, you have already committed adultery.”  He went on to illustrate other laws revealing their impossibility.  To address the unreal view that these religious leaders had of law, Jesus said, “If your eye offend you, pluck it out.”  Imagine that; if you think you have kept, for example, this law of adultery, yet now SEEING what God had originally meant by this law; for you to stay in your idea of this one law, you would have to pluck out your eyes so you could keep it!  Of course it wouldn’t stop there because God goes even deeper and addresses the THOUGHTS of an individual.  The next step would be the cutting out of your brain that triggers such thoughts.  IMPOSSIBLE!  God had always wanted to reveal our helpless, hopeless condition, using PURE LAW to draw us to the only solution to our dilemma, the death of His Son for us.  Mankind has thought to water down this law, thus destroying it true purpose.  So, if you think that more laws on the books or changing current laws is the answer, you will one day find out that you were deceived; in truth you had not wanted to face what the “good” law was attempting to get you to see – your need of deliverance from your present condition.  So we have just seen, that when scriptures calls the Law good, it is saying just what I have shared with you; it is good in that it leads you to your solution, Christ Jesus.  If the any law is so constructed that it doesn’t lead you to Christ, it is not this good law God had originally given to save us from our real condition of being cut off from God from birth because of the original fall of mankind by Adam and Eve.

CHAPTER 14
A LETTER FROM GOD

Matthew 7:23 “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you that work iniquity.”
A Letter from the Lord:
“You never came to understand ME as a Super-intelligence personified Being; thus, never developed a personal one on ONE relationship with ME.  You may have heard of ME, felt MY energy, and even used it to your advantage.  But, real recognition, gratitude expressed, never came between us.  Thus, I can’t say I KNOW you, nor you ME.  There have been those who have had this personal relationship with ME, which you have rejected seeing it as nonsense.  It wasn’t!
I now must give you the desire of your thoughts and free will.  By your thoughts, words and actions are you justified.  By your thoughts, words and actions are you condemned.  It needed not to be.  It is a choice of perspective.  It is not I that judge you.
For me to say, “I love you” would be a personal emotion of a personal being, who would and should expect from another personal being the same response.  You may have loved my creation, and falsely personified it, yet you never gave credit where credit was due, a Personal Creator.”
“I shall say the same as you have said.  I will profess that which you have professed.  That which you learned and knew and understood of Me, whether I ever said a word to you.
My Son had asked, “Who do men say that I am?  Some answered as you have quoting rumors and opinions of others.  That day, only one, Peter, heard from Me and Professed, “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God.”
My Son revealed that day what many of you have failed to experience.  He said to Peter, who had heard from Me, “Flesh (world opinion) and blood (traditions) has not revealed this to you, but my Father.  And upon this rock (really hearing Me speak to you, not just hearing about Me), upon this rock will I build the “called out ones who heard Me speak to them – this is my true church.  Not a building or creed, but called assembly of hearers from Me.  Your churches are filled with those who hear about Me, but never from Me.  You have never heard from Me.  You only know about me.  So now I say the same.  I know about you more then you will ever know.  But I never knew you in that you listen to others, thinking I couldn’t speak for Myself, or wouldn’t speak to you one on ONE.  I didn’t get laryngitis.  I attempted to speak to you but you had chosen to listen to others who also thought they knew Me.  You could have known Me by an one on ONE conversation.  You could have gone to the Source.  I know Myself, but now, I don’t know you.  I now have to say to you, “Go to your place.”  That place that you have created, a place where I cannot be.  It is not Me.  Had you gotten to hear from Me you would have found your place in Me.  Yet, you “Worked” your opinions and ideas mixed with your peers, cultures and creeds.  Generation after generation of what they thought they knew of Me.  Yet not hearing it from Me, now will never know.  I was not a mindless substance.  I never was created, though you have heard, “We created God in our image.”  I never gave that impression.  It was I who created you in an image you never knew.  You who saw Me as an impersonal force.  I AM a Super-personal being and established that you be as such.

Here is what you missed.  You would have been at peace in your life if you had walked in the light (heard from Me) as I am in the light (I knew Myself).  There would had been a unity of all had they gotten this unity beyond their cultures, religious creeds and carnal opinions.  Hearing from Me would have passed all this understanding of what they all thought they knew of Me.  What was to be preserved did not lie in what you thought you knew before hearing from Me.  It lies in another realm; the realm of The Beloved.  All the divisions were not there.  Never was nor ever will be.  It is only in that realm that true fellowship exists. You have destroyed this fellowship by your own choices.  Thus separation from a unity we once formally had held.  You ask, “Where?  What place?  Because you did not ask Me before, now you will never know.  So, go, you who worked this iniquity into your minds.  Go to your created place.   The End.

CHAPTER 7 - 8 - 9 - 10

CHAPTER 7
OVERCOMING

I don’t usually use the Living Bible, but in this case it drives home a point we all need to hear in light of matters of salvation:
Psalm 11:1-7  “HOW DARE You tell me, “FLEE” to the mountains for safety,” when I am trusting in the Lord?”  (You are saying what the world is saying).. For the wicked have strung their bows, drawn their arrows tight against the bow strings, and aiming from ambush at the people of God. “Law and order have collapsed,” we are told. “What can the righteous do but flee?”
But the Lord is still in His holy temple; He still rules from heaven. He closely watches everything that happens here on earth. He puts the righteous and the wicked to the test; he hates those loving violence. He will rain down fire and brimstone on the wicked and scorch them with His burning wind. For God is good, and He loves goodness’ the godly shall see His face.”

Rather harsh words. Yet to over come any fear of adventuring out into the big bad world, be it either in a physical sense or traversing their literature, I for one will not back off.  Dangers, yes; will we be deceived at times, yes; will we be rattled at times, yes.  We will find ourselves being persuaded rather then persuading at times, yes. THIS IS A TEST….and you might ask, “A test of what?  Know this, it clearly says God does not test us, but we of our own lust and entice are drawn away; and when this lust gives birth it produces sin (revealing of our Adamic nature), and when sin is finished it produces death. The death of our ever thinking we could ever handle any situation apart from Him. Adam’s mistake and we inherited!! So, when you find yourself duped, tricked, lying flat on our face; thank God for the revealing of your weakness and at that moment ask for His strength. This Psalm clearly said the Lord puts the righteous and the wick to the test. And I can hear it, “But I thought you just said that He doesn’t test us?”  And I would answer, yes, I did just say that. Without a long lengthy explanation, think on this in light of this idea of testing…You are in a class room, the teacher has been trying to get you to learn something for weeks and months. The only way for this teacher to know if he or she is getting through your thick brain what he or she desires, is to TEST YOU. Now the teacher isn’t testing you to DESTROY you, the teacher is testing you to see if what he or she had taught you sunk into your brain. If you had failed to PAY ATTENTION, your will not pass the test and that test sheet will walk all over your brains till you feel like it is going to explode.

There is NEVER a situation that will come upon you that isn’t common to all of us, BUT GOD HAS PREPARE A WAY OF ESCAPE, that you might endure it. You do not have to be afraid of any situation that He might want you to encounter, because before it occurs, if you had paid attention, He would have prepared you for it. Yet, if you are worshipping your own strength, your own method of handling life’s situations, you are going to have to be knocked off your high horse, blinded, then lead by the hand of some reluctant prophet, so the scabs over your eyes can be removed and for the first time in your life you realize that it is not by might nor power, but by His Spirit that you walk in strength and have NO FEAR; it is then that you eyes are opened and you SEE HIS FACE….the knowledge of the Glory of God through the face of Jesus. Before this you may have heard of Him with the ear, but now you see Him with your eyes; and there isn’t a place that you can’t go, for He is there and you see Him in all life’s situation, good and bad. And because He over comes the world, YOU DO!!

CHAPTER 8

THIS MATTER OF DOING GOOD

If I am trying to do this thing of goodness, true goodness cannot come.  The good works that God wanted to perform though us is stored in the eternal realm; it must come from there.  For God’s goodness to come He must put a stop to self performance and its orientation, which we have been taught sense birth and by the world around us; when this happens it allows this goodness to flow.  It’s kind of fits what Jesus had said, “No man comes to the Son unless the Father draws him.”  Unless God, as James so said, unless this good gift comes to us from God, any so-called good that we might think to perform is tainted with “self” (Secret ambitions of recognition and glory).  God’s good gift of good works through us is to the glory of the Son. (Whatever you do in word or deed, do to the glory of God; For by grace are you save, not of yourself, unless any man boast).  We sing it…”To God be the glory, great things has He done,” yet if self is involved in any degree, this isn’t the case.

If we go about establishing our idea of righteousness, we forfeit this righteousness which God would have performed through us; that righteousness being what Paul said in Ephesians, the good works from before the foundations of this world and its idea of goodness.  There is none that does good, not one.  If there isn’t the ability for us to do good, what is meant by this?  I believe it is clear enough, our idea of what is good compared to whatever idea God has of goodness it radically different in some way.  We could be doing what we think and feel is good, yet in God’s idea of goodness we could be doing that which isn’t good.
How do we come to that place where this Goodness of God would work through us?  It would be God drawing that situation, circumstance, person, place or thing to us, then He through us flowing this goodness to that situation, circumstance, person, place or thing.  It would then not only have profit in this life but also in the life to come.

To activate this, we would have to stop this natural tendency to perform which came from our natural inclinations being performance oriented.  We must learn to wait through the Spirit for this righteousness to come. It would be God drawing Himself to any particular circumstance, then through an individual acting as a channel, He would then flow that needed; this would be the only time that pure goodness flows.  Any other time, as I’ve said, self is involved thus that goodness we might desire is tainted.  Desire and ability to perform that which God would desire at that moment would “all” come from Him and self is left out.  Read in scriptures, “Submit yourself unto God, resist the Devil and he will flee from you….don’t let the left hand know what the right hand is doing.”  If good is initiated by self, you would know what the right hand is doing…self is involved with its secret ambitions and goals.

He that expects no gratitude shall not be disappointed.  When we are disappointed with those who do not thank us for our good deeds or show us gratitude, it is proof that we have acted with self motives and secret ambitions. (“The ambitiously motivated individual is easily angered and hurt”)  When you are prompted of God to exercise HIS goodness through you, no disappointment is felt because your action is not prompted by self and secret ambitions and motives, instead is prompted of God.
I once heard it said, “Do things with only two clear motives involved, 1. It simply needs to be done, whether I want to do it or not, or  2. It is something you love to do and would have done anyway.   If you haven’t learned to follow God’s prompting to do that good which He would desire, then at least follow these two motives; it cuts back to some degree of selfish ambitions and motives until such time you can follow God’s leading in any given circumstance.  Remember, there is a time to embrace and a time to reframe from embracing no matter what the world around you might think or you were taught in the days of your performance orientation.  You have experienced this; some well meaning individual comes to help you.  They don’t ask if you need help, they just force their help on you whether you want it or not.  If you reject this help because you really do not need it, they are hurt. If you don’t reject it, they end up doing things you did not desire simply because they never asked you what it was you needed; instead they “DO THINGS THEIR WAY” not knowing their way wasn’t what you really needed.  This kind of help we all can do without.  They are only helping you out of their own selfish need to help; it has nothing to do with God and His goodness.

I know, in some cases the individual might be two proud to except help.  That a different matter and would be their problem and you would out of respect leave it at that until they ask you for it; don’t become the problem.  Respect their rejection of help.  Check yourself and ask, “Was I lead of the Lord in this case or was I acting by natural inclinations?”  God will handle this.
We have at times thought, “She or he is so ungrateful!”  That may be true; yet I would question that individual’s motive for helping.  What were you expecting?  Come to where you do not expect gratitude. (“He that expects no gratitude shall not be disappointed.”)  If we have any idea of the condition of humanity which “ALL” of us are part of, we would understand that all of us at some time or another have acted in an ungrateful way.  Jesus said what He said on the cross, “Father forgive them, they do not know what they are doing,” he said this with a clear understand of the condition of fallen humanity.  This kind of unconditional love is the constraining, controlling element that should govern our actions towards others and ourselves….’For the love of Christ constrains me and keeps me from considering any other way, for I thus judge, if One die for ALL, then all were dead (had the same condition) and that He died, we which live should no longer live unto ourselves (secret ambitions and motive in this case to do good) but unto Him who died and rose again.”

CHAPTER 9
GOING THE WAY OF CAIN, BALAAM, CORE

GOING THE WAY OF CAIN

I will begin with this opening thought:  “If you reject God’s unconditional love, which is as it is clearly defined, not limited in any way; if you reject this unconditional love, you go to hell.”
Rather harsh one might think, “Go to hell?”  By the time I get done with this chapter of this book you will understand why.  For now, let me gradually work you back starting with Jude 1:11 “Woe unto them; for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.”
For those of you who may not know anything about Cain, Balaam or Core, let me give you a brief highlights of these three Biblical characters so that what I will be sharing makes some sense.
First, Cain is the first Son of Adam and Eve, the one who killed his brother in a fit of rage and jealousy.  After the fall of Adam and Eve, God had provided away to cover their transgression by shedding the blood of an innocent animal using the skin of that animal to cloth, cover, their nakedness.  This feeling of nakedness ran deeper than their unclothed bodies, but reached to the heart of their dilemma, guilt for the disobedience to what God had warned them about, to not eat of the forbidden tree of the knowledge of good and evil.  There is more to this, but that gives you some idea of what will follow concerning Cain.  It is understood that this sacrifice of the blood of an innocent animal to atone for their sin was practiced by not only Adam and Eve but also their descendents.  Cain’s brother Abel, Adam and Eve’s second son, understood this and was obedient.  It is said that he was a keeper of sheep, thus it is assumed that he offered a lamb for this sacrifice.  Cain being a tiller of the ground growing vegetables, fruits etc., thought to offer the works of his hands.  God accepted Abel’s obedient sacrifice and rejected the labors of Cain’s disobedient act.
THE WAY OF BALAAM
With that brief account of our first character let me now give a brief account of Balaam.  The story can be found in Numbers Chapter 22.  Balaam, a prophet, is contacted by King Balak, King of the Moabites, out of his fear of the nation of Israel coming against them.  He asked that Balaam curse them, because he knew whoever Balaam cursed they were curse, and whoever Balaam blessed they were blessed.  He offers Balaam great rewards if he would do this.   Balaam thinks about it and says he would consult the Lord on this matter.  Of course God tells him he cannot curse the Jewish people and he reports this to King Balak.  This goes on for three separate attempts by King Balak offering Balaam more wealth and honor to get the job done.  Finally God seeing that Balaam doesn’t get it and is attracted by the wealth and honor tells Balaam to go ahead and meet the King.   Balaam excited hops on his ass and heads out to meet up with King Balak.  Along the way he meets God’s Angel blocking the road.  The ass, with it animal instincts, sees the angel and runs off into a field; Balaam beats him and gets him back on the road until they come to a narrow part of the road with walls on both sides.  The ass still seeing the Angel attempts to slide by him crushing Balaam’s leg against the wall.  Again Balaam beats him.
The road way narrows even more too where the ass cannot get around God’s angel, thus stops dead in his tracks.  So Balaam beats him again.  God at this point touches the mouth of the ass and causes him to speak.  Note it wasn’t the ass speaking, animals don’t have this ability; it is the Lord speaking through the animal, since Balaam couldn’t hear God any more, God has to take it down a notch using an animal.  Makes you wonder who the dumb ass was?  Balaam loses his ability to hear God’s voice, thus the ass is used; a lower method.  The ass questions why Balaam was beating him.  Imagine the shock on Balaam’s face!  The ass points out the fact of the Angel in the middle of the road; Balaam at this point gains his spiritual sight back and sees the Angel, repents of his spiritual blindness.  God then instructs him to say only that which He would tell him to say when he meets up with King Balak.
To get on with this story so I can get into the third character, Balaam tells King Balak he cannot curse God’s people.  Now catch this; he has King Balak create seven alters where they sacrifice a bull and a ram.  This is done several times.  Why would he have the King to do this?  It’s was an attempt to get the King to gains God’s favor, using God’s methods that Balaam knew God used in other situations, thinking surely God would like this and maybe change His mind and allow him to curse the Jewish people.  (Remember this point, I will bring it up later how we attempt to manipulate God using His methods to gain our desires or others.)   At the end of this story Balaam seeing it is hopeless to get God to curse His people, suggests Balak send his beautiful women into their camp having them commit fornication, and then God would have to curse them.  This is done and God has to curse His people.  Later in the history of Balaam we discover that King Balak does give Balaam great reward and honor for this.  Yet the tragic end of this story is that later on the Jews attack the Moabites and in the battle Balaam is slain, thus God’s just reward.
THE WAY OF CORE (KORAH)
Now let me share with you the story of Core.  It is believed that the name Core used by Jude was a different spelling in Old Testament history. In Numbers 16 you get the whole story with the spelling of Core being Korah.  Listen to the definition of the word “gainsaying” which Jude used to describe Core’s (or Korah’s) gainsaying: Deny or dispute; refuse to admit to the truth; to refuse to accept as true, valid, or worthy of consideration.  Numbers chapter 16 develops Korah dispute and unwillingness to admit to the truth that God had placed Moses in charge of running that Nation, thus attempts to turn the Nation against Moses.  He along with Dathan, Abiram, On, (Sons of Reuben) took men and they rose up against Moses, along with certain of the children of Israel, 250 princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown; they rose up against Moses and Aaron.  They challenged Moses and Aaron saying who were they to think they were holier than the whole of Israel, when God was with all of them.  Moses falls on his face at this accusation before God.  God says through Moses, “Tomorrow we will find out who is holy and who is not.”  Well, you can imagine what happens.

This brings you to where I will begin to share with you what is meant in Jude 1:11 ”They have gone the way of Cain.”  Jude is giving revelations of the end times in his book.  If one did not know the story of Cain and Abel, what Jude is attempting to warn us about would not be understood.  So what is this warning and how does it apply to us, those who are living in the End Times.

We are in a generation of mass information. This matter of judgment and with the knowledge we have excess to, have increased our ability to judge one another.  Three warnings have been given; a warning to avoid what is now taking place. I will share with you several article I have written that fit these warnings:
                                     VALUE OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS

When people judge you as a Child of God, and don’t take into account the fact that you stand justified by God’s grace, even if what they are saying is true and you have done something wrong, that person, He will judge that day. For they have failed to see that your righteousness, right standing before God, has nothing to do with whether or not you commit a wrong act, but lies in the fact of “Christ’s righteousness” not yours.

In truth, they judge that pure, sinless personage of Jesus Christ the Son of God. They shouldn’t have done that. They go the way of Balaam. We stand accountable to no man, only to God. It’s the task of the Holy Spirit to bring us to this truth; thus getting us to acknowledge the errors of our walk and free us of any guilt brought upon us from the world’s condemnation. (Romans Chapters 1-3 reveal all of what I’ve written.) You can see why we are warned to not judge at all.  Judge nothing before the time.  Balaam sought to judge God’s people. Could their actions of that day, the Jewish nation, justify what Balaam was asked to do by King Balak, King of the Moabites? Sure.  But, the message God has always intended to bring was that righteousness had nothing to do with behavior but a “listening” to God.  Baal wasn’t listening!  Are we?

JUDGING OUT OF FEAR OF CONDONING

“We judge that which we do not understand, out of our fear of condoning it.”  (We feel that since we know something to be wrong, against the law, that we have no choice but to judge the individual or situation)  We have been taught in life to “judge”, not only in a religious life style but also in a secular life style.  We read of warning after warning to not judge in scriptures, yet we still judge.

We are taught law and morals not understanding their purposes.  I have addressed this in some of my past personal studies, the matter of the misuse of the law and its end intent.  It was never given to make us better, but to expose a condition in all of humanity.  It’s this very point, the wrong handling of this law that produces things like we read in the News papers or hear on T.V. News.  For example the very Biblical text many times used by religiously minded individuals to attack, for an example, the gay life style, which is definitely in Romans chapter 1, yet they fail to see that this same chapter is also judging them for judging, thus is the very text that condemns them.  Hear it…
“They hold down the truth with a lie”….or expressed in this way, they are holding, or holding down the truth in an un-right way.”   Both are applicable.

If the true end intend of the law is not seen, the second or third generation will produce what is described in that Romans text.  You see this coming out even in what are called Preacher’s kids….we have seen it.  We all have been taught the dangers of self-righteousness and the byproduct of this life style.  I hear it on the job, when a gay inmate comes into the unity, from not only religious minded officers by also those that do not claim to be religious.  Think of this quote given to me….”We largely judge in others that which we are denying in ourselves.”  Can you hear the objections…”I could never do that!”   Are you sure?  How about knowing that the “potential” of any life style, or so-called sin is potentially possible in you from the very condition you inherited from your father Adam.  This is basic stuff.  Yet today it’s being rejected.  I can understand why.  Look at the news…about priest, ministers and what they produce following a self-righteous religion….they end up in that which they judged for years.  Or local political figures, not necessarily religious, just self-righteously pursing their platforms.  They had thought that they could never do these things.  Either they end up in it or their kids.  And we say, we don’t understand?  I think it is understandable.  But it begins with you and not the one we would project it on to.  Start as I had to do by looking in the mirror, looking back three generation even.  You may not like what you find…the truth of your nature.   We can not accept this and do every thing possible to dismiss it or project it on to others.  I once preached against divorce….I ended up divorced.  I lost my self-righteous religion in Vietnam.

Yet you see me still in love with God and His word.  It has taken on a new meaning.  I looked in the mirror.  God was not to blame.  It was His Law that led me to the grace I now live in and share to those around me.

There are things of a personal nature that I can not share in this book that I do share one on one.  I probably sound and come across religious, yet if I were to share some of these personal things you would understand that I am no longer religious as I once was.
Ending this chapter, let me give you one more thing the Lord gave me once which I was judging a matter when I didn’t know better.  I was given this thought…”We judge in others, what which we can not accept in our self.’  In other words at that moment I was refusing to face a truth about my self and projecting it on to someone who definitely did have the same problem.  Yet what I was failing to see at that moment was that this individual was only a REFLECTING MIRROR of a truth I was failing to see in myself.  I will be dealing with this more later in this book at a greater depth.

CHAPTER 10
BUILDING ON A FOUNDATION

Nothing matters more than the foundation upon which anything is built.  As the foundation goes, so does the building.  Without a doubt I believe we all, too some degree or another, believe and understand this.  So the question is, “What is the foundation upon which you are building using .choices for us today which amounts to only three; the first is the predominate one being taught in our education system today, and that is EVOLUTION.  If one follows this ideology it leads to the second one of ALIENS and the seeding of this planet.  If you don’t believe this, you haven’t done your home work.  Go off and search the many books and web links that reveals this; I won’t do that for you.  Remember, as the foundation goes, so does the building.  So I would strongly advise you to consider the foundation you have selected.
The third and final one is upon the claims of a man named Jesus; who also claimed to be the Son of God, in the MODE of a son of man, establishing a foundation using what His life would build, a called out assembly, saying, “the gates of hell would not prevail against this foundation.”   He also said that any other foundation would be like “sinking sand.”  What He would offer would be like a solid ROCK, upon which nothing would prevail.  I personally have spend at least 46 years of my 66 years of life on this planet and found that I am persuaded that what He claimed is true and will stand the test “against that day,” that day of testing while in this life and the life to come.  What caused me to start this search was my discovery that I was building my life on sinking sand, and one day saw the house that I had created go crashing down.  At the time I wasn’t too happy about this, and blamed everything and anything other than my poor foundation.
I would again challenge you to take a good look at the foundation you have laid, both, the man of the world and the man in some form of religion.  Ask yourself, “How would I know anymore about a spiritual foundation, than I would about a physical foundation, if I had not asked how such a thing would be accomplished?”  In the physical world you would be considered foolish to not consult a “Master Builder” when it came to building your home.  Even then you would check around to find the best; not every so-called Master Builder is what they claim.  We can, in a spiritual idea of a foundation point to someone who claimed to be a Master Builder, who claimed to lay the one and only true foundation, and that foundation was the finished works of Jesus Christ.  This Master builder was none other than Paul the Apostle.  We can read this claim in I Corinthians chapter three.  “According to the grace of God given unto me, as a WISE MASTER BUILDER, I have laid the foundation, and another built thereon.  But let every man take heed how he builds thereon.  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  (I Cor. 3:10-11)
MATTER HIDDEN
The foundation of a house is the most hidden aspect of a house, being underground, that if you don’t ask you would not know.  In looking at home listings you will see this reveal with the use of words such as, “No Basement;” “Crawl Space;” “Full basement or particle basement,”  You would not want to buy a house with no basement if that wasn’t what you were looking for.  In our case of this study, you would not want to buy a house with no stable foundation.  You can find homes built on stilts in some parts of this world; but a good wind could easily knock it over.  You can buy a Mobil Home on wheels or stacked corner blocks, but you had better have tie down or watch it get blown away.   Not everything that appears as stable is stable.
Paul in I Corinthians gives us more insights on this matter of what we build on a foundation and warns us to take heed of what we built. You could have a great foundation; in the physical sense of this, cinder blocks stacked, or poured concrete walls or slab; but if you build a lean-to shack on this foundation the test of time will prove to be a lost.  You may still have the foundation, which is the most important thing, yet your lack of wisdom would stand out like a concrete slab in a tornado torn town.  In areas designated as tornado alleys, hurricane, flooding, earthquake prone areas have very strict building codes.  As strict as these codes may be, there is nothing in this world that can assure your building efforts will work.  It is something like Paul’s warning to us to beware of what we build on this foundation.  He liken it to wood, hay and stubble, being works that have no eternal lasting ability; then in comparison he mentions gold, silver and precious stones, all elements that have stood the test of time and fire, thus have eternal value.  To explain the difference between the two, he said in his letter to the Ephesians 2:10 “For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, created in Christ Jesus unto GOOD WORKS which God had before ordained that we should walk in them.”  (Note – “that God had before ordained.”)  That which God had before ordained is locked up in us.  You can see why Paul commands in Phil. 1:6 “Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a GOOD WORK in you will perform it until the DAY OF JESUS CHRIST..”  Note this; it is something that God begins and performs.  The question would be, “How does He accomplish this?”  We read in  Phil. 2:12-13 “Wherefore, my brethren, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, WORK OUT your OWN salvation with fear and trembling;  for it is GOD which WORKS in you both to will and to do of HIS GOOD PLEASURE.”  Our only so-called work is to discover that which is locked up in us.  Note this; even the DESIRE to do this must come from Him, and once this God given desire comes, it is God doing the performing and not ourselves as this text reveals.  Our pray would be, “Father create in me this Desire to allow you to DO your good pleasure through me. Amen.”  This is what constitutes the gold, silver and precious stones on this foundation; elements wrought of God and are eternal.  Anything not desired of God and performed by Him through you, constitutes wood, hay and stubble.  Please note this; this matter of things built on the foundation is not matters of eternal salvation.  The foundation constitutes salvation, and there is only ONE CHOICE, Jesus Christ’s accomplished works via His ministry, death, burial and resurrection and not any works we had thought would gain God’s favor.  Any other foundation is SINKING SAND – PERIOD!; no matter what other might believe.  This isn’t a matter of my opinion; it is a FACT OF GOD’s own word.  Make your decision today!   Paul
MORE ON FOUNDATIONS
This is a matter that has come to my attention lately after viewing many other forums and web sites on this matter of “The Foundation” which is written that the Apostle Paul was the master builder of, that Foundation being Christ.  You can’t imagine the differences expressed on these other sites.  It gets into what is called Millennium Exclusion, and the Judgment Seat of Christ.  I won’t get too much into what they are sharing; it would take many, many post to do this.  So, I will simply share what I have been given after asking, that the confusion I got from reading all these other sites and views, be resolved.

You all know the foundation text, so I won’t give it.  We know that we can build what is called wood, hay and stubble on that foundation, or what is called gold, silver and precious stones.  That’s clear enough with out our debating just what constitutes all mentioned.  What I’d like to touch upon is whether or not it is a future matter or something which we could enter into in the present, now, thus not wait for what is called, “saved as by fire” which will test the building we all are creating on that foundation.

I have spent the last 30 years building my home and the buildings on my property.  Knowing what little I know from doing this, I know one thing is vitally important, the foundation of a structure.  As the foundation goes, so does the building.  I laid the foundation for my home using block, and under these block there is a concrete footing to the local codes, which gives it its foundation.  If this foundation did not meet the code, the structure would be in jeopardy.
We all know that the focus, when it comes to our salvation, is not on the wood, hay and stubble, or the gold, silver and precious stones, but on the foundation itself.  We all know that this was the finished works of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  This is a matter I no longer question, nor wish to debate; it’s for me an Eternal fact.  This is the only thing that gets us entrance into that eternal realm.

“A historical event, that manifested an eternal reality”…this is the True Foundation and what I mean to imply in addressing this matter of a Foundation; a foundation which was determined and held, preserved before, which is written, “before the foundation of the world.”  The gold, silver and precious stones are things which undergo the fires and test of time and this experience which prove to have come from that eternal realm; the “good” gifts that come down from our Father in that eternal realm.  The wood, hay and stubble, called many times the flesh, are the fuel to the fire needed to purify these eternal gifts; fuel which intent was for burning and not to ever enter that eternal realm.  They, the wood, hay and stubble, fuels, are only tools, carnal experiences, which have their purposes, called by me the peaks and valleys of life, to who’s end and consumption manifest via test and trials (fire), that wrought in us, before the foundation of this world, His good works which we will work out with fear and trembling.
